Nishino-shima (Volcano Islands, Japan): (16 Jun) New aerial images of the current volcano activity from 14 June by the Japan Coast Guard (JCG) were published today.
The behavior remains inherently unchanged, characterized by the near-frequent strong degassing, i.e. the continuing venting of gas and steam from the summit crater.

This also confirms a satellite image from the ESA Copernicus mission acquired by the Sentinel-2 satellite on 10 June.

Mayon (Luzon Island, Philippines): (16 Jun) The elevated activity at the volcano continues.
The viscous lava flow on the southern and southeastern slopes continues to be active, currently about 1000 meters long from the summit crater. Due to its high viscosity, glowing lava blocks frequently detach from the lava flow, turning into pyroclastic flows over the Mi-si and Bonga ravines, where collapsed debris deposits reach a distance of about 2 km from the summit.

A moderate ash fall has been reported in Sitio Buga, Brgy, Nabonton, City of Ligao and Purok 7, Brgy, San Francisco, Municipality of Guinobatan.
According to the Volcanic Ash Advisory Center Tokyo (VAAC), eruptions continue to take place from the summit vent, generating W-NW oriented ash plumes that reach 2,8 km altitude.

Lewotolo (Lesser Sunda Islands): (16 Jun) Explosive activity continues. Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Darwin warned about a volcanic ash plume that rose up to estimated 7000 ft (2100 m) altitude or flight level 070 .

Kilauea (Hawai’i): (16 Jun) The effusive activity within the Halemaʻumaʻu crater continues with the only prevailing source of the fresh lava.
The spatter cone in the southwestern crater wall has became the main lava source feeding the southwestern lava lake characterized by the occasional fountaining and spilling lava flows.

About the southwestern lava lake, it has been reducing during the past recent days, even though its elevation has risen by 0.5 meters over the past day. The lava circulation also continues within the central basin that became the focus of effusion during both the 2021–2022 and early 2023 eruptions.
Summit tiltmeters identified an inflation starting late morning yesterday, but it decreased in the afternoon and transited to a deflation trend today.

Popocatépetl (Central Mexico): (16 Jun) Explosive activity continues. Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Washington warned about a volcanic ash plume that rose up to estimated 19000 ft (5800 m) altitude or flight level 190 and is moving at 20 kts in SW direction.

The resurgence of the seismic activity follows of a pressurization of magma within magma reservoir and signals its resuming. This process may take several days to weeks until the pressure within chamber is sufficient enough to trigger magma intrusion into the dike/s. Opposite, signs of elevated activity may cease.
