Suwanose-jima (Ryukyu Islands): (10 Jun) Volcanic Ash Advisory Center Tokyo (VAAC) issued the following report: ERUPTED AT 20230610/0352Z FL060 EXTD NE OBS VA DTG:10/0350Z

Mayon (Luzon Island, Philippines): Due to the continuous elevated activity at the volcano, authorities ordered an evacuation of residents living within the 6 km radius from the summit.
On 10 June, the Philippines President Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr said that food packs from the government will fund people affected by a potential eruption.

The extrusive activity remains elevated.
Incandescent avalanches continue to be observed from the summit new lava dome area tumbling down along the south and southeastern chutes at about 1.5 km distance from the top. The PHIVOLCS seismic network registered 59 glowing rock falls and one volcano-tectonic earthquake over the past 24 hours.

The strong eruptive episode (likely to be classified as paroxysm) is now in progress at the volcano’s cinder cone.
After nearly 24 hours since the recent paroxysm phase, yet another such lava-fountaining episode took place at the volcano early this morning. At approx. 04:24 local time, strong lava jets could be seen in the PVMBG webcam, the height of fountains likely surpassed several hundreds of meters. The eruption was associated with continuous dense grey ash emissions that reached 2,2 km altitude and drifted northwest.
