The intensive effusive eruption within the Halemaʻumaʻu crater persists.
The strong fountaining from the southwestern spatter cone continues to feed the far southwestern portion of the lava lake by ejecting hot, fresh and glowing lava spatter fragments up to perhaps a few 10 meters height and some ejecta has been thrown a way higher and further. This has been building the gradually enlarging spatter cone by piling into several meters high deposits.
The vent contains the small cauldron of lava, which has been spilling out several lava flow streams from the base of the cone over the past 24 hours, but it has merged into the single main outlet channel.
The southwestern lava lake surface continues to circulate and rise slowly along with the rest of the crater floor by the uplifting of solidified crust.
Since yesterday morning, a certain part of the spreading field of lava continues to overflow into the central basin by the near-constant cascading in the form of lava falls.
