The effusive eruption at the volcano started to gradually wane yesterday afternoon, the INGV institute reported.

The lava flow is currently at a cooling stage, i.e. crystallization is taking place at the moment.

The explosive activity continues to be characterized by moderate spattering from the North crater area with near-constant strombolian-type explosions from both North and Central-South crater area.

The seismic station registered the ongoing volcanic tremor at medium values over the past 24 hours.
Ground deformations measurements have not shown significant variations.
