The activity at the volcano increased dramatically today by the racing massive block-and-ash flow after noon.

Unfortunately, the intense situation is worsening and continues with a series of further pyroclastic flows from the active lava dome at the summit crater. This may and/or will make people in some villages nervous to get threatened by such turbulent hot avalanches of lava rock fragments of all sizes embedded in a mixture of gas and ash.

In the late evening today, at about 23:01 local time, another massive pyroclastic density current emanated from the glowing dome to travel over the Bebeng gully on the southwestern flank reaching length of at least 1800 meters. Typical phoenix clouds formed as were being lifted during the flow descended the slope.
