At 21:52 local time yesterday, a minor strombolian explosion took place from the summit crater with glowing ejecta thrown at an approximate height of a few dozen of meters. A white-to-grey ash plume reached approximately 6,000 ft (1,800 m) elevation and drifted southwest.

A visible glow and near-constant emissions of gas and water vapor (so-called degassing) hint continued rise of fresh viscous magma accumulating into the Caliente lava dome. Pilled lava material makes the dome partially prone to collapse which in turn develop into rolling hot avalanches and incandescent dome blocks in W-SW direction along a steep ravine.
