Shiveluch (Kamchatka): Volcanic Ash Advisory Center Tokyo (VAAC) issued the following report: VA IS NOT IDENTIFIABLE IN SATELLITE IMAGERY.
Kerinci (Sumatra): (30 Dec) An increasing trend of the activity is shown in a continuous rise of seismic activity over the past two days detected by the local volcano observatory.
Increased periods of amplitude tremor in a range of 3-8 mm have been registered since 28 December and are still ongoing at the time of this update, too. This is presumably an indicator that the flux of magma is rising within the edifice as it continues to intrude and push its way into deeper rock layers. Besides that, the seismic network has recorded 40 volcano-tectonic 40 earthquakes per day on average.
