The volcano observatory in Catania (INGV) reported that the lava flow on Sciara del Fuoco remains active, but shows signs of weakening.
The lava flow front at the coastline which formed the new lava delta recently, has been cooling over the past 24 hours.
Mild-to-weak increased explosions occurred from the North crater area.
The seismic activity remains at medium levels including periods of the average amplitude of the volcanic tremor.
No significant ground deformation was detected.
