The explosive eruption at the volcano continues at moderate levels.
The Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Tokyo detected an ash column that reached 10,000 ft (3,000 m) altitude and extended about 140 km to the east-southeast of the volcano.
A cloud-free satellite image from 22 September depicts an elevated surface temperatures in the summit crater, no signs of weakening have been shown yet at all since the last update.
