
Tjörnes Fracture Zone (North of Iceland): (19 Sep) The seismic swarm on the Tjörnes Fracture Zone which began on 8 September, continues to decrease.
More than 12 000 earthquakes have been detected so far. At its peak intensity, over about thousand quakes were registered daily, but during the last few days, hundreds of earthquakes have been measured per day with magnitudes of around M 3.
