Askja (Central Iceland): (28 Jul) The inflation at the volcano continues.
The ground at the west of Askja has been uplifted by a further 2 cm since the last update, by 35 cm since the early August last year in total, however, any increase in seismic activity has been detected so far. Earthquake activity is likely a significant indicator of an impending eruption.
