An increasing activity at the volcano over the past few days resulted in the formation of a new lava flow.
As usual, the lava started to descend onto the southeastern flank.

According to MIROVA Detection System a very high heat anomaly (1638 MW) was detected in the satellite image from 29 July.

Near-constant vulcanian-type explosions continue to take place from the summit vent sending ash columns to estimated 6,4-to-7 km altitude. Volcanic ash is dispersed mostly towards the west.
