Chikurachki (Paramushir Island): The Kamchatka Volcanic Eruption Response Team (KVERT) observatory reported that the explosive phase of the volcano ended on 2 February, but the constant gas and steam venting (so-called degassing) continues from the crater.

Ebeko (Paramushir Island): After 3 months of the calm period in the eruptive activity, an explosion from the volcano’s crater occurred today.
Judging from the attached video, the event was likely a phreatic or hydrothermal explosion as interaction of snow and ice causes phreatic explosions at the contact with lava.

Merapi (Central Java, Indonesia): Two pyroclastic flows (hot avalanche of lava particles and ash) descended the southwestern flank of the volcano at 15:12 and 16:35 local time today, reaching approx. 2000 m distance from the summit. It resulted from a partial collapse of the growing active lava dome at the southwestern rim of the volcano’s summit crater.
Ash plumes were separated from pyroclastic density currents (so-called phoenix clouds) that rose 600 meters above the crater.

Kilauea (Hawai’i): The activity within Halemaʻumaʻu crater continues at fluctuating levels over the past 48 hours.
The lava supply to the western fissure of the lava lake temporarily decreased on 4 February morning and afternoon associated with the deflation-inflation cycle. Another phase of reduced lava emitting began yesterday morning as a slight summit deflation has been recorded. The lava lake level has been dropped by 2-5 meters while subsidence phases.
