Taal (Luzon, Philippines): (30 Jan) A series of nine short-lived phreatomagmatic bursts were observed between 15:50 yesterday and 04:49 local time this morning characterized by steam-driven plumes rising several 400-900 m above the summit. Bursts took place in the range between 10 seconds and 2 minutes detected by the seismic network.
The Taal Volcano Network recorded 31 volcanic earthquakes and 14 minutes tremor during t24 hours.
