A swarm of earthquakes occurred at the volcano over the past week and is still ongoing.
The largest quake with a magnitude 4.2 was recorded at 19:45 local time today. The swarm might be related as a response to a volcanic unrest or regional tectonic activity.
The Alaska Volcano Observatory raised the alert level for the volcano to „yellow“.
