Sangay volcano (Ecuador): incandescent avalanches

The explosive eruption at the volcano continues without significant changes in the activity at moderate levels.

The volcano continues to produce near-frequent small-to-moderate ash explosions that reached about 20,000 ft (6,100 m) altitude and drifted mostly SW direction.

Much of the ejected incandescent material slid down and caused glowing rockfalls along the southeastern flank.
