Vulcanian activity continues from the summit crater at moderately levels.
The field researchers from Instituto Geofísico of Ecuador reported that steam and gas plumes are being observed that rose 4,900 ft (1,500 m) above the crater and dispersed west.
The Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Washington detected near-constant ash emissions that reached about 21,000 ft (6,400 m) altitude and drifted most often W-NW direction.
