The explosive activity of the volcano continues at moderate levels.
The volcano continues to produce near-frequent small to moderate ash emissions and occasional larger vulcanian-type explosions. Plumes of ash rose to an approx. altitude of between 12,000 ft-20,000 ft (3,700 m-6,100 m) and extended about 38 km to the east of the volcano as reported Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Tokyo and KVERT observatory.
