Krakatau (Sunda Strait, Indonesia): The volcano remains active with at least some sort of eruptive activity going on: a cloud-free satellite image taken earlier today shows a pulsating steam plume coming from the lake-filled crater. A low to moderate thermal anomaly can be seen on processed data as well.
The seismic station has been recording an increase of activity during the past weeks, with many explosion-like signals and volcanic tremors showing up as a significant part of the detected activity.
