Mudflow at Siglagah Crater yesterday (image: PVMBG)
The Pusat Vulkanologi dan Mitigasi Bencana Geologi volcano observatory (PVMBG) reported that a mudflow occurred within Siglagah Crater at Dieng volcano complex.
A weak-to-moderate explosion generated the mudflow about 10 meters long with a height of approx. 1-3 meters yesterday. The mudflow occurred around the crater with a radius of less than 10 meters from the source of the eruption.
The eruption is followed by continuous emissions of steam and gases including 56 volcano-tectonic earthquakes during field observations in July.
