Stromboli (Eolian Islands, Italy): According to the Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia (INGV), the visual activity at the volcano remains at typical low to moderate levels, characterized by weak to moderate strombolian explosions associated with occasional spattering from vents.
The seismic network recorded high internal volcanic tremor associated with near-constant deggasing. Volcano-tectonic long-period earthquakes reached to a 14,5 events per hour.

Kilauea (Hawai’i): (18 May) The effusive eruption of the volcano continues characterized by the transformation of Kīlauea’s lava lake into continuous crusting.
The lava lake within Halema‘uma‘u crater remains active, although surface incandescence has become less frequent over the last few days.

As can be seen in the attached image, two elongated lobes oriented west (left) to east (right) with a relatively smooth shiny grey surface are visible in the center of the photo. These two lobes comprise the active area of the current lava lake. A tiny red glow is visible along the southern (bottom) margin of the northern (top) elongated lobe, toward the middle.
The lava flow, feeding from the western fissure vent, continues to effuse into the lava lake. The current lava lake depth is 751 ft (229 m).

Popocatépetl (Central Mexico): Mild explosive activity continues from the volcano. The Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Washington reported intermittent emissions of volcanic ash plumes.
