According to the Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia (INGV), the visual activity at the volcano remains at typical low to moderate levels, characterized by weak to moderate strombolian explosions associated with occasional spattering from vents.
The seismic network recorded high internal volcanic tremor associated with near-constant deggasing. Volcano-tectonic long-period earthquakes reached to a 14,5 events per hour.
Sulfur dioxide (SO2) emissions reached to a 92 tonnes/day.
