The lava flows from the new fissure vent on the NW flank of the McKenney crater that had started on 30 April remain active and have reached the flatter areas at the base of the cone.
The flow fronts have reached more than 2000 m distance and are slowly approaching towards farmland of La Brena. So far, the lava doesn’t threaten threaten inhabited areas.
