Popocatépetl volcano (Mexico): near-constant explosions continue

The explosive eruption of the volcano continues and has remained essentially unchanged at moderate levels.

The activity is characterized by constant vulcanian-type explosions.
Ash plumes reached 20,000 ft (6,100 m) altitude and drifted E-NE.
The seismic station recorded 348 minutes of the continuous volcanic tremor.

In addition, 72 emissions of water vapor, gases and ash occurred from the summit crater. The plumes were dispersed towards the east and northeast direction.
