The explosive eruption of the volcano continues at moderate levels.
Volcanic Ash Advisory Center Tokyo (VAAC) reported about vulcanian activity that continues from the crater producing dense and dark ash columns. Near-constant ash emissions reached up to 23,000 ft (7,000 m) altitude and drifted about 5 km to the southeast of the volcano.
