Fagradalsfjall (Reykjanes Peninsula, Iceland): (26 Mar) The eruption is now almost a week old and shows little signs of stopping anytime soon. Activity is now concentrated at two adjacent vents of a growing cone in the central part of the original eruptive fissure. They are filled with spectacularly boiling (degassing) lava that flows away to form thin flows that overlap on a growing lava field, that slowly but surely is filling the Geldingadalur valley.
The question is of course, how long will it take to fill the valley and get lava reach its lowest pass to the next valley.

Scientists have modeled this: if the current eruption rate of 5.8 cubic meters continues at such rate for a total of 12 days (another 5-6 days from now), it will have filled the valley and start overflowing into the neighboring valley to the SW.
Speculations circulate already that if this eruption continues for a very long time (years), we might see the formation of a new shield volcano. It is impossible to predict this, especially such a short time after the start, but intriguing nevertheless. In any case, we would be now watching the birth phase of a potential shield volcano right now!

Sakurajima (Kyushu, Japan): Explosive activity continues. Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Tokyo warned about a volcanic ash plume that rose up to estimated 5000 ft (1500 m) altitude or flight level 050 .

Dukono (Halmahera): Volcanic Ash Advisory Center Darwin (VAAC) issued the following report: VONA STATED ERUPTION TO FL070 25/2345Z.

Veniaminof (Alaska Peninsula, USA): (26 Mar) The effusive-explosion eruption of the volcano continues at low levels, the Alaska Volcano Observatory reported.
Seismic stations recorded frequent small explosions from the volcano. Recent satellite imagery show fresh ash deposits extending for ~10 km (6.2 miles) to the SE on snow in the summit caldera, as well as hot spots from lava present in both the summit cone and a nearby spot 1.5 km to the east, likely a sub-glacial flank vent that has been erupting lava melting through the ice cover.

There was „no evidence of more distant ash clouds since the morning of March 24. Seismicity remains elevated with periods of repeating seismic events and tremor (continuous shaking). Explosive activity has decreased over the past day with fewer ground-coupled airwaves (pressure waves) observed on seismic data, and no evidence of activity on distant infrasound networks.
„The FAA web camera in Perryville is back online but low clouds have obscured observations of the summit over the past day.

The effusive-explosive eruption of the volcano continues at high levels.
Moderate-to-strong strombolian-type explosions occurred from the Mackenney summit crater accompanied with large and dense ash plumes that reached an estimated altitude of 9,800 ft-11,400 ft (3,000 m-3,500 m). It drifted over capital city of Guatemala and extended about 20 km to the north and northeast of the volcano.

Lava bombs was ejected to an approximate height of 300 meters above the crater.
The lava flow continues to erupt onto the southwestern flank, currently about 2,500 m long and 250 m wide on the front of the flow. It has been producing multiple lava flows that leads to formation of the spreading lava flow field.

Sangay (Ecuador): Explosive activity continues. Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Washington warned about a volcanic ash plume that rose up to estimated 21000 ft (6400 m) altitude or flight level 210 .

Sabancaya (Peru): Volcanic Ash Advisory Center Buenos Aires (VAAC) issued the following report: INTERMITTENT EMISSIONS

Piton de la Fournaise (La Réunion): (25 Mar) Seismic activity at the volcano has continued to increase since 13 March.
During 13-24 March, the seismic network detected 250 volcano-tectonic earthquakes at depths between 1.6 and 2.5 km beneath Dolomieu crater with magnitudes between 1 and 2.6.

In addition, instruments continue to detect slight ground deformation likely caused by a source at depths between 1.5 and 2 km beneath the Dolomieu crater, where a shallow magma chamber is likely forming.
Sulfur dioxide (SO2) and carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions continue at elevated levels as well.
