Glowing material slid down the flanks of Reventador volcano (image: IGEPN)
No significant change in activity has occurred during the past weeks. The effusive-explosive eruption of the volcano continues.
The explosive activity continues from the active crater with near-constant ash emissions that reached 14,300 ft-14,900 ft (4,360 m-4,560 m) altitude and drifted into W direction.
Incandescent blocks slid down along the flanks and caused avalanches of material.
The lava flow on the northeast flank remains active.
Satellite images are limited due to dense clouds around the volcano.
