Nishino-shima volcano (Volcano Islands, Japan): glowing lava bombs thrown from crater; continuing large ash emissions

The activity of the volcano continues at high levels. On 11 July Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) did a marine observations by Ryofu Maru ship. The volcano is producing frequent large ash emissions from the summit crater. Ashfall is expected in Chichijima, Ogasawara area due to amount of ash extending to the northeast of the volcano.
