Nishino-shima volcano (Volcano Islands, Japan): constant large ash emissions continue

The Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) reported that constant dense dark ash emissions is extending to the north of the volcano across large area of Pacific Ocean. Today at 12:52 local time an ash plume rose 19,356 ft (5,900 m) above the summit. The effusive-explosive eruption of the volcano continues at high levels.
