Suwanosejima volcano (Ryukyu Islands, Japan): occasional minor explosions

The Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) recorded an minor explosion which reached approx. 5,000 ft (1,524 m) altitude and drifted S (VAAC Tokyo). Constant glow is visible from the summit crater. The warning bulletin states that ballistic impacts of volcanic bombs and pyroclastic flows could affect an area of about 1 km distance from the main crater.
