Soputan volcano (North Sulawesi, Indonesia): possible activity, first since Dec 2018

Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Darwin recorded an explosive activity from the active crater with ash emissions that reached 14,000 ft (4,267 m) altitude. PVMBG recorded 16 volcano-tectonic earthquakes. The warning bulletin states that ballistic impacts of volcanic bombs, pyroclastic flows and lava flows could affect an area of about 2.5 km distance from the main crater.
