Etna (Sicily, Italy): (27 Jun) A new sub-terminal effusive vent has opened in morning of 26 June 2026, at the eastern base of the Voragine summit crater, in the upper Valle del Leone (part of upper Valle del Bove), at an altitude of approximately 3,000 meters above sea level. The vent has been producing a small lava flow. The volcano observatory reported that weak and irregular Strombolian explosive activity continued at the Voragine crater itself.
