18 BERLINALE-FILME FÜR AMNESTY-FILMPREIS 2019 NOMINIERT

BERLIN, 01.02.2019 – Die Nominierungen stehen fest: Unter 18 Werken der 69. Berlinale werden Regisseurin Feo Aladag, Schauspielerin Pegah Ferydoni und Markus N. Beeko, Generalsekretär von Amnesty International in Deutschland, den Gewinner des diesjährigen Amnesty-Filmpreises küren. Die Jury sichtet Filme der Berlinale-Sektionen Wettbewerb, Forum, Panorama, Generation und erstmals auch in der Perspektive Deutsches Kino.

Madagascar: Gruesome killing of suspected cattle thieves must be investigated

Malagasy authorities must fully investigate the gruesome killing of eight men suspected of being cattle thieves, Amnesty International said today after photos of their bullet-riddled bodies were released. The eight men were shot dead by police after they allegedly tried to steal from a shop. Three policemen were also injured during the confrontation.
