PETA Names Most Beautiful Vegan Celebrities of 2022
It’s the most wonderful time of the year—time to name PETA’s Most Beautiful Vegan Celebrities! In 2022, PETA is honoring none other than rock icon Lenny Kravitz and international superstar Anitta.
Whether they’re showcasing a fridge stocked with delicious greens or collaborating with a plant-based meat company that’s changing the future of the food industry, Kravitz and Anitta let love rule and are enthusiastic about using their immense platforms to speak about the positive effects of being vegan.
Lenny Kravitz
Kravitz says that being vegan is “the right thing for yourself and for the planet and animals.” From Brazil to the Bahamas, the legendary rock star has beautiful gardens where he grows practically all his own produce. He recently gave Men’s Health a tour of his fridge, which was loaded with a variety of delicious greens, and showed off a countertop full of mouth-watering fruits and herbs. He credits his diet and exercise with giving him a body that feels free, allowing him to express himself.
Anitta
The girl from Rio herself, Anitta, made the decision to go vegan in 2019 after watching the documentary Cowspiracy. In addition to encouraging her tens of millions of social media followers to see the film, she recently teamed up with the non-GMO plant-based meat brand Future Farm. The company originated in Brazil in 2019, and its products are now sold in 30 countries. She announced the partnership on Instagram, saying (in Portuguese), “Who has tasted plant meat? It’s like me: innovative, suuuuper hot and good for the environment hahaha Very excited!!!”
*****
Over the years, PETA has honored many inspiring stars with this award, including Billie Eilish, Sadie Sink, Chris Paul, Lizzo, Colin Kaepernick, Jessica Chastain, Benedict Cumberbatch, Alex Morgan, and Jhené Aiko.
Are you gonna go Kravitz and Anitta’s way and start your vegan journey? If you’re ready but not quite sure where to start, order a free vegan starter kit today to help guide you along the way:

PETA Statement re Northfield Park Installing a Fence Following Horse Death
Please see the following statement from PETA Senior Vice President Kathy Guillermo regarding MGM Northfield Park’s installation of a temporary fence around the infield pond. This follows PETA’s letter yesterday urging track officials to put up a fence immediately after the drowning death of a horse.
PETA is relieved that Northfield Park has complied with our request yesterday and is right now placing a temporary fence around the pond where a horse drowned. The tragedy is that it took a horse’s death to get officials to act. PETA will be watching closely to ensure that the temporary barrier is adequate and that a permanent fence is constructed in short order.
PETA—whose motto reads, in part, that “animals are not ours to use for entertainment or abuse in any other way”—opposes speciesism, a human-supremacist worldview. For more information, please visit PETA.org or follow the group on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram.

Pig-to-Human Heart Transplants Are Foolish and Wasteful: PETA Statement
Please see the following statement from PETA Senior Vice President Kathy Guillermo regarding two brain-dead individuals who received genetically modified pig-heart transplants:
Moving ahead with pig-to-human heart transplant protocols as though this procedure would ever be viable is foolish and wasteful. So far, there has been just a single test case on a living human—and the man who received the heart of a supposedly virus-free pig lived just 47 days and got a cytomegalovirus along with the organ. Contrary to NYU Langone Health’s claims, there is no way to ensure that pigs are virus-free. Every animal-to-human transplant represents hundreds of pigs’ lives and the risk of a new pandemic. Cleaning up the organ procurement business, which wastes as many as 28,000 organs annually, and enacting presumed consent laws would save human lives, spare animals, and protect society from dangerous pathogens that can easily jump from one species to another.
