Experts agree that fish are highly complex animals who have the same capacity to feel pain, fear, and stress as mammals do. They deserve better than to be doled out as trinkets. However, PETA has just learned that the Mid Rivers Mall Carnival—organized by Fun Time Shows and scheduled to run through June 23 in St. Peters, Missouri—is giving away goldfish as prizes to game booth attendees, in apparent violation of St. Peters’ ordinance (§) 205.020, which states, “No person shall give away any live animal, reptile, or bird as a prize for, or as an inducement to enter any contest, game, or other competition.” PETA asked local authorities to shut this booth down, but it’s reportedly still operating. These animals need your help now!

Please urge Mid Rivers Mall management to shut down this booth and ensure that no animals are given as prizes at any of the venue’s events:
