Reykjanes (Reykjanes peninsula (SW Iceland)): Friday morning (17 Nov), there is still NO eruption on the Reykjanes Peninsula, but scientists continue to believe that a new eruption is likely to start in the coming days.
Magmatic gas was detected at a borehole in Svartsengi (near the Blue Lagoon), which indicates that magma is close to the surface. As well, inflation of the ground has continued as magma continues to intrude at shallow depth.

…17 Nov:
Scientists from the Icelandic Met Office (IMO) measured the presence of volcanic gases from a borehole approving molten rock (magma) in the 15-km long NE-SW linear oriented underground dike.
The latest ground deformation statistics detected that the surface between two GPS stations in the centre of the valley in Grindavík subsided by 25 cm during 12-16 November.

…17 Nov:
As of early morning on the Reykjanes peninsula, 05:30 local time today, no eruption has occurred yet.
Last night, the seismic activity has continued with many small earthquakes, similar to yesterday, located mainly at 5 km depths with magnitudes M 1-2, a couple ones between M 2-3.

Puracé (Colombia): (17 Nov) The Servicio Geológico Colombiano (SGC) issued a report that seismic recordings started to detect a new seismic signal at the volcano since 07:29 PM local time yesterday.
The increased activity is likely related to the release of gas, steam and possibly some amount of ash emissions from the main crater. Visibility of the eruptive phase has been limited due to night observations. Therefore, webcameras installed in the upper part of the edifice were not capable to detect the height of the ash plume last night. However, it is highly presumably that the volcano continues to emit gas, steam and likely ash emissions.
